This week, we go from laughing about Costco puzzles, camping trips, and the chaos of traveling with dogs, to navigating the real emotions that come when our parents find love again after loss. We unpack the mix of happiness, hesitation, and honesty that comes with supporting someone else’s joy, even when it stirs up complicated feelings. As always, expect plenty of laughs, some Golden Girls-level wisdom, and the reminder that doing our best doesn’t always look perfect.

Season 2 EP2: Listen Linda

Show Transcript – Prob not super accurate LOL

Speaker 2

We’re back. Oh, my God. Hi, everybody. It’s been like a couple of months. Don’t judge us. We’ve actually.

Speaker 1

Oh my.

Speaker 2

Been living life.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we just took.

Speaker 2

Kaylan’s Cool took a summer break. Yeah, we took a summer break. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3

So just.

Speaker 1

Which was great transition period for all of us. It’s great.

Speaker 2

Yeah, definitely. Some things happened in our in our group. Some good things and not so good things. So we’re back now. We’re ready to divulge. We’re we’re back. Going good. I’m so excited. So this is kind of a coincidence.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

We started recording today. Yes, definitely coincidence. But like it’s weird because we have been taking a break and then all of a sudden it came up. Yesterday you texted me and I was like, I’m absolutely in. Let’s go. We’re ready. This, you know, restart recording and.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Yeah, we’re ready.

Speaker 2

I get this. Text from my brother this morning and. Was at 1:30. Our time granted, my brothers working on the East Coast right now. So it was like 430 his time. Saying I love you and I hope you have a great day. I wish this was a normal text for. My brother but. Like it’s not. I wish my brother don’t talk to me as as much as I wish I could talk to him. I. He’s always kind of kept his distance that way. But anyways, I try to respect his privacy, but I don’t really have time for that. So. So. So yeah. So I was like, is everything OK? I love you too.

Speaker 1

It’s everything. OK.

Speaker 2

And he’s just like I had this interesting. Evening and I’ll be OK. And I was like. Oh, all right. Love that? Yeah, he’s like, I’m busy. I’m working, but I’m. I got, like, 2 hours of sleep, but I’m working. I’ll call you tomorrow. It’s like, OK, great. And I was like, is everything OK? Still asking is everything OK, you know, and he responds with.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

I know who your biggest podcast fan is.

Speaker 3

And I was like what?

Speaker 2

And so I named his wife. Because she I know she listens to shout out to Randy. Love you, Boo Boo. My sister-in-law. And then I answered mom. Granted, some of us know, but two people my my mom has passed away. My mom died in 2018. So.

Speaker 1

Let’s see what your mind is.

Speaker 2

I was like mom. Like maybe. She came to him. In a dream or something and that’s. Why he couldn’t sleep or? Whatever. And he says no. Linda and I was like my step. Yay bro, I was so excited getting these texts this morning that I went to the gym. I’m living my best life. I got some breakfast done. I went to the grocery store. I’m here. So for those of you who may or may not remember.

Speaker 1

I’m done.

Speaker 2

My stepmom was the worst, the. Worst step, Mom, I could have imagined. Granted, they’re probably our worst ones out there. But she was the worst one. For me.

Speaker 3

And.

Speaker 2

And we have mentioned this before and he made me so. Happy to know that she is our. One number, one hater and supporter at this.

Speaker 1

Ashley said. And I.

Speaker 2

Call. I’ll take the listen, take the listen. I will take the listen. So that’s. Where we’re at. Love that peace, peace hose and afros shout out to our biggest.

Speaker 1

Lover.

Speaker 3

Our biggest fan and Peter.

Speaker 2

I love it. I love it too. So that was my.

Speaker 1

Morning today, like and then coincidentally, we were recording today. Coincidentally, we were recording today. Yeah. So I was like, Oh my gosh, we have something so great to talk about.

Speaker 2

I I yeah, we have. This is the perfect thing to bring all this up. So like I said, I also am a believer of everything happens for a reason. I know not everybody believes that, but. I feel like my life has kind of taught me that like it all came up at the same time for reasons, so I’ll take it.

Speaker 3

Hmm.

Speaker 2

Good. Good for you. Lesson learned. So, Kayla, we were we were talking about some fun in your life, the. Last couple days.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So, OK. So let’s kind of start at the beginning. So my husband is taking a. I’m. I’m going to butcher this and he’s going to be really. It’s fine. He can. He can edit it in with his own voice. It’s like sports, lawn maintenance or something like that. Yeah. So, like, sounds. Lawn maintenance. Yeah. And. And it’s going down.

Speaker 3

Familiar. The smiles going down the winkies going down.

Speaker 1

So at the University of Georgia or Georgia State, I don’t, I don’t know which one. Whatever it is, yeah. So he’s taking this course right, because he’s been super into lawns and I don’t know, trying to take care of them. He also says it runs through his like bloodline because his grandpa did something similar. And his dad did something. And then like his? Yeah.

Speaker 2

Lawn maintenance or lawn? Lawn care of some sort? Yeah, so so can I side note this real quick. I’m sorry to interrupt, but anybody who knows Dan?

Speaker 1

Right.

Speaker 2

I make fun of him because every time he mows the lawn, he mows it twice, and the first time is because or second time is because the first lawn mower doesn’t get it short enough. So I mean. What the ****? Yeah. I’ve never mowed a lawn in my life, so I have to say side note to that.

Speaker 1

Hi. I’ve mowed the lawn like maybe two or three times. I don’t know. And Amanda, she enjoys doing yard work, not me.

Speaker 2

She does love. Her mowing her lawn. Yes, my funny love. My sister-in-law also loves to mow her lawn, but she has like an acre and 1/2 or two acres and it.

Speaker 1

Not me.

Speaker 2

Is 80% this beautiful lush green because it’s in Illinois? So it’s this beautiful lush green lawn, so she enjoys mowing the lawn as well. Apparently it’s a thing.

Speaker 1

Not for us. Interesting. Yeah, not for me. Absolutely not. No, thank you. No, thank you. Yeah. So he definitely takes care of his lawn. He’s doing that course. He’s starting like a little side hustle. And like, he is going and like.

Speaker 2

To buy the aerator.

Speaker 1

Hatch by the aerator 12 things. But he’s been, like, going to our friend Amanda’s house and looking at this lawn and then doing my in laws place and Oh my gosh, it’s just he’s very passionate.

Speaker 2

Year long. Also testing.

Speaker 1

The soil? Yeah. He’s doing like soil tests. Yes. What? It has it. What deficiencies it has in their nutrients. Yeah.

Speaker 2

If there’s anything off, yes. He’s carrying this.

Speaker 1

With him. Yes, yes. OK. It’s wild. So anyways, he’s very passionate about it. So yesterday. He comes running upstairs. I’m in our room running upstairs and he’s like. You will never guess what happened. They had the audacity. I can’t even read this and throws this piece of paper at me. It is essentially a notice from the HOA saying that he needs to water his our front grass. OK, now. I’ll tell you this, it’s not in the best shape, but considering where it was like 2 months ago to where it is now, it it looks really good. He did some before and after pictures and I was like, oh, wow. Like, it looks really good.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it was sad a couple months ago.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And there are reasons.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, there’s reasons. So he was appalled, appalled.

Speaker 2

Offended when actually he was deeply offended. Yeah.

Speaker 1

Couldn’t. I don’t even know if you could speak about it so.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 1

He wrote a letter to the HOA.

Speaker 3

Of course he did.

Speaker 1

Because they wrote a letter to him, of course. So he writes. I’m writing in response to the courtesy reminder dated for which address. Please be advised that I’m active actively maintaining my lawn and have been taking. All appropriate measures to ensure its health and compliance with HOA standards. I currently water the lawn three times a week, applying between 1.5 and two inches of water per week, as recommended for Bermuda grass in our climate, which is literal hell on Earth climate. Yeah, PS yeah. Over the winter, my lawn experienced a significant invasion of stink net, which required substantial mitigation efforts. Since spring, I have also been battling an aggressive outbreak of spurge. Compounding these challenges, the Bermuda grass has been recovering from stress related to overseeding. With winter ryegrass.

Speaker 2

I don’t even know what spurge means, but.

Speaker 1

It’s not good. It’s not good. It’s not good. Yeah, it’s.

Speaker 2

OK. OK. Obviously because he’s been fighting with it. OK, it’s. What was the other first thing? Stink, stink net and spurge.

Speaker 1

Not great. Stinking it. I don’t even know if I’m saying that correctly. It’s. I mean, I know I’m saying spurge correctly, but the other one I don’t know and OK and he knows he genuinely knows these things because he’s taking that course right? So that’s why I tell you that story first.

Speaker 2

Yeah. No, I think you’re fine. You’re fine. Yes. So he’s testing. Yeah, he is testing his soil also.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So he’s done all that with us. Which is why it’s gotten so much better, he said. Despite these setbacks, I remain diligent in my maintenance efforts. I’m out three times per week at a height of .5 inches, and have addressed severe soil nutrition deficiencies through multiple rounds of fertilization, including applications of both macro and micro.

Speaker 3

MHM. Nutrients. Who ******* knew that they need macro and micronutrients?

Speaker 1

He does cause he’s telling the course.

Speaker 2

He knows because he knows.

Speaker 1

Yeah, he doesn’t mess around. No, please know that I take pride in my home and I am committed to restoring my lawn to full health. I respectfully request that this explanation be considered in light of the notice received. If you require any additional information, I would be happy to provide that.

Speaker 2

I love that more than life itself, and honestly, I’m glad it’s on my phone now because. Then I get to show it to Christian. OK so I have to ask, did he get help from JAT chat?

Speaker 1

GBT. Ohh yeah, of course. I mean he like the knowledge like he it was all those things because obviously he’s been taking care of it. Right. So he’s like, OK, this is what happened and then. Of course he did, yeah.

Speaker 2

OK, hilarious. I know that side note to all of this, I know that you also rely on ChatGPT a lot. Yeah. Yeah. So you would say yours knows you very well? Yeah. OK. It’s wild. I love it.

Speaker 1

For a lot of things. OK, OK. It’s so funny. Like so many people do use it for different things now. Like I’ve talked to people who have used it for like counseling. And slight like about themselves. Yeah. And like astrology stuff. Yeah.

Speaker 2

I mean, it’s wild. The only thing is is it’s not always right. Of course not. OK, OK, as long as you know that they’re cause like it scares me. I think we’ve had this conversation.

Speaker

Hello.

Speaker 1

Well, I mean it it.

Speaker 2

Pretty, right? Yeah. Ohh yeah. No. Like they make very few errors. Yeah, sometimes there are errors.

Speaker 1

But. Like, but like opinion things are opinion things, right? Of course. Tangibles. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.

Speaker 2

Yes, yes, of course. They’re not facts. Yeah, yeah, they’re they can’t be fat Shelly.

Speaker 3

I’m dead. It’s wild.

Speaker 2

OK, so now we go from here. Yeah, with the lawn. Yeah. OK, so now we’re here. We are. I would be very interested to hear what they write back. So I’m very when you get the response, we are absolutely. Yeah.

Speaker 1

We’ll see. I know. We gotta talk about it.

Speaker 2

Mowing your long Part 2.

Speaker 1

Mowing the lawn, maintaining it. I just can’t. I can’t.

Speaker 2

Maintaining your lawn part too, yeah.

Speaker 1

And then we were driving to the store today and we were like looking at other people’s lawns and like this person’s lawn and this person, what about them? Did they? Get a notice. Because I will tell you also can HOA conspiracy.

Speaker 3

He should.

Speaker 1

Ohh yes, Dan joined an HOA meeting and they’re all like she did there. Anybody who knows? Yeah. Not surprised. I’m surprised it was his first one. Yeah. Ohh. And and I think he said a few things in there.

Speaker 3

Ohh of course he. OK.

Speaker

Hmm.

Speaker 1

And I’m like now they’re gonna now you’re gonna have a target on your back. They know our address. We walking by your house every single day taking pics. Now he’s got to go back and look at the camera footage and see who’s been walking by every day.

Speaker 2

They’re going to come after you. Yeah.

Speaker 1

The HOA.

Speaker 2

If he really wants to go. Well, cause you know. It’s probably one of one or two people, right? That’s probably going by that’s taking pictures and.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Oh, I’m sure. Our HOA hires a company to. Ohh and fine stuff. OK, yeah, it’s a waste.

Speaker 3

No.

Speaker 1

It’s ridiculous.

Speaker 2

Sounds like they. Need to spend their time on things that actually ******* matter. Yeah. And then, oh, we noticed in, like, the green belts. Too ****** lawn. Our own stuff. The stuff we pay for. I feel like if you. So here’s the thing, I feel like lawns in Arizona are literally a hit or a miss. And it doesn’t.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Gently is related to like your neighborhood. Sometimes or like these crazy infestations of other things that probably came on somebody’s brand new lawn that they just installed. You know what?

Speaker 1

Yeah. Exactly. I mean well and that’s why what Dan’s doing by testing the soil and all that, it tells you exactly what it needs in order to be successful. Yeah, it’s.

Speaker 2

OK. I mean that. Sounds great. This is. I’m glad I don’t. Have one I have a. Patch of grass, literally the size.

Speaker 3

Of this table. In my front.

Speaker 2

But like the HOA maintains it so we don’t have to worry about it thankfully. But it’s actual grass, but literally right across the street half. The street doesn’t have grass. Well, and I wonder if it’s like these one of these like crazy, you know, breakouts or something, because I feel like. Also keep in mind it’s 100 and ******* 20° here. Most of the time for a few months and like I can’t imagine lawns living through that, let alone looking.

Speaker 1

I know it’s ridiculous. Hey there. Good. Yeah, but I we would never get turf.

Speaker 2

Yeah. No, because.

Speaker 1

Ever. Could you imagine my husband getting turf?

Speaker 2

Bro, I can smell our neighbor’s turf on really hot days. And when, like, there’s no wind, yeah.

Speaker 1

Ohh I’m not. I’m not surprised.

Speaker 2

I would rather, and we have a rock backyard, but so he can’t like poor baby boy. Can’t bonsai cannot get. He can’t go out there because the rocks are so hot. But we have a side of the House so we can go down. That’s always shaded. So he goes, he goes potty down there. But I would rather have rocks. Yeah, because turf is Oh my God, it’s absolutely *******.

Speaker 1

Foul like you have to get it.

Speaker 2

And right and they don’t.

Speaker 1

Clean.

Speaker 2

There’s never been anybody there and they have two dogs, so.

Speaker 1

No. No, I’m sure.

Speaker 2

These neighbors neighbors also flooded our our yard one day because they had they left there. They had like a. Hose that connects to a dog dish outside and they would turn it on and I they forgot to. Turn it off. I can’t even get started on that ****, but yeah, they’re also kids, so like, they’re they can’t be older than 25 years old, and there’s a couple. And like another dude or maybe another two dudes that live there and like, they’re quiet and everything, but.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Nasty.

Speaker 2

Phil can discretion grow. Like literally so gross, yeah. So yeah. No, never. Yeah. And, like, apparently, like, there’s supposedly some, you know, air rate like it aerates itself now out there turf, but who knows? I can’t imagine it being better though.

Speaker 1

Oh really?

Speaker 2

Absolutely disgusting, because you do have to get it cleaned. Yeah, like, especially and like, if you have more than.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I’ve seen our neighbors getting theirs cleaned. Yeah, if and if you have, like, more than one dog. Oh, my God. You have to get it cleaned, like, every month or two. It’s like the people walking by or going to the bathroom in your yard.

Speaker 2

Right, right.

Speaker 1

Eww.

Speaker 2

And also to.

Speaker 1

Arizona. I know. I know, dude, I.

Speaker 2

Like realistically, it’s Arizona and like there isn’t grass that grows here naturally.

Speaker 1

It’s so funny because like in the winter, I’m like, I can’t wait for the summer, and in the summer, I’m like, I can’t wait for the winter. Same. I feel like I’m never satisfied.

Speaker 2

Feel that way, like half halfway through the season, I’m like, OK, like I’m fine now though, like I as of right now, I’m good. It will get bad when the monsoons start to really.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Women.

Speaker 2

Which where the. ****. Are they? Hello, it’s Sandra. July. Where the **** you at, rain.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we haven’t. Have we even had one? No, I don’t think so. We might have had one, but I didn’t get it. I don’t. We’ve had one. Yeah, there definitely hasn’t been any. Yeah, we’re still right. One. Yeah, one or two.

Speaker 2

No, we definitely haven’t had our like normal monsoons. Speaking of rain.

Speaker 1

I just want to be able to live somewhere else in the.

Speaker 2

Guys do radiance.

Speaker 1

Summer.

Speaker 2

And come back here from, like October to. Yeah, April.

Speaker 1

It’s miserable. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Where would you live? Anywhere but here really. Just well. I mean, I just didn’t know if you have, like.

Speaker 2

A place in.

Speaker 1

Mind like anywhere. Seriously that has like better weather than 125,000,000°. But like San Diego, we went to San Diego this summer and I just love the weather. Yeah, it was so great. We went in. June. Oh my gosh. San Diego, yeah.

Speaker 2

But it’s California.

Speaker 1

It was amazing. Like obviously we’ve been to San Diego, but Jillian Times. But Eliana was at church camp.

Speaker 2

For her first time ever, for her first time. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

Yeah. For her first time ever, she had a great time. It was amazing. Glad. And so Dan and I just went to San Diego.

Speaker 2

By ourselves for that time, she.

Speaker 1

Oops.

Speaker 2

Was there just in case?

Speaker 1

Yeah. No, I it wasn’t even because of that, it was just like.

Speaker 2

Because why would you come and?

Speaker 1

Because they did buses and stuff, but we were just like, let’s go somewhere close, but we want.

Speaker 2

Oh.

Speaker 1

To go to the beach, yeah. And so we really got to like, just enjoy and enjoy the city and stuff so. It’s fun, but yeah, I would totally live there. We I got to eat at my first Michelin starred restaurant, so Jerry, it was amazing. We went to. It’s called the Addison by chef William Bradley. It was so good. So.

Speaker 3

I was gonna say which one?

Speaker 2

Did you? Did you have to get it? Reservation once in advance.

Speaker 1

I think it was like a few weeks in advance, yeah.

Speaker 2

OK. So was it like a like a month or like less than?

Speaker 1

That no, it was probably like 3 or 4 weeks, OK. So right around that, OK. I was just wondering cause I was like I knew I knew you knew it was coming once prior. So I didn’t know if OK yeah. But and we went on a Wednesday too like that’s what we got right, like a random Wednesday. Yeah. But the wild thing is so my very first job like my very first real job.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah, and on.

Speaker 1

Bob, I worked at one of the Hyatt properties in Scottsdale. My dad used to work there too, so he got me the job and I was a Hostess at a fine dining restaurant like 16 years old. No business being a Hostess at a fine dining restaurant like, absolutely not. I did not know what I was doing, but. I learned so much at that job, so it was amazing. And the guy who ran the restaurant there. Was chef William Bradley, who? Ohh Michelin starred restaurant. Ohh OK, so it was my first experience and it was just great. It was awesome. And then, you know, just cool story full circle moment.

Speaker 2

What was your favorite thing that you ate?

Speaker 1

Oh my God.

Speaker 2

Our favorite two or three things. Cause you got like a tasting.

Speaker 1

Menu. Yeah. It’s just like, you know what? Shoes like you just. Yeah, you get.

Speaker 2

OK. Yeah. It just comes out. You get, yeah. Like you tell them. Like they usually ask if you have any allergies.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Like now, but I or I hate the. Yeah. And then you can upgrade like there was like a caviar add-on. And then there was a wago add-on. Dan did the Wago add on and I did the caviar add on of course.

Speaker 3

Fees. Did you do that? Oh.

Speaker 2

Of course.

Speaker 1

So good, Ashley, yes.

Speaker 2

I just feel like caviar tastes like salty balls, but I’ve only had it once, so yeah.

Speaker 1

I only had it once. Oh my God. Everything was so good. Like just.

Speaker 2

It was 10 out. It was 11 at the.

Speaker 1

It was an experience like it was definitely experience. It was 4 hours long.

Speaker 2

Ten, yeah. Yeah. And it’s. I just. Ohh girl, I’m so Jelly, but I’m so.

Speaker 1

The desserts there was like 8, like 5 different desserts like so many. Yeah. So that was really cool. I really enjoyed it a ton. So yeah, we.

Speaker 2

Glad you’re up to go.

Speaker 1

Got to do.

Speaker 2

That beautiful plating? Yeah. The food looked beautiful.

Speaker 1

Fighting.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yeah, cause of course you got home and you’re.

Speaker 1

Delicious drinks.

Speaker 2

Like I have to.

Speaker 3

Cheyenne, these pictures of my food.

Speaker 1

I know, of course I took pictures of everything like Darth.

Speaker 2

Of course. Well, because you are also are your father’s daughter. Yeah. Who sends her every time he makes something good, which is probably more than once a week. He sends you pictures of his food. Yeah. Yeah. And he’s always eating something spectacular and a glass of wine in his hand. Or he’s on.

Speaker

Sorry.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah. Something.

Speaker 2

The beach in his Speedo.

Speaker 1

11 or the other, and late lately, like takes pictures of his legs on the beach or whatever, and he’s like back in the rough day in the office today. And I’m like, oh, whatever, dude. Yeah. I mean, he did. He did bear with the Arizona summers outside. Yeah.

Speaker 3

One or the other living. Yeah, this little thief season, this man.

Speaker 2

For years, yeah. So good thing he likes the sun.

Speaker 1

I know. Now he’s in Florida on the beach.

Speaker 2

Papa Andre, just love him. We miss him.

Speaker 3

I know.

Speaker 2

He’s a precious Angel. Excuse me. Anything else?

Speaker 1

Eliana. Quit chair. Yes, she did quit cheer, quit cheer last season.

Speaker 2

And it was coincidentally, yeah, like her.

Speaker 1

Her last season?

Speaker 2

Last match was. A couple.

Speaker 1

I can’t remember when it was like April or something like that. Yeah, but I, I mean, they got a bid to summit and we did not. Go to summit, yeah. Unfortunately, I mean, of course I wanted to go, but. That. Yeah, and honestly, like at the time her grades were really struggling. And if she would have gone.

Speaker 2

Eliana.

Speaker 1

I don’t know. So. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So she is done with chair, which is. Wild for me, like so much free time. Yeah, but it’s great. Like, I’m really enjoying just being able to be like Dan and I have gone and done so many things, like just the two of.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

This lately because we don’t have to go like run to this place, that place.

Speaker 2

Pick her up from school, take her to cheer.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Or pick her up, make sure she’s doing her homework. Somebody. Has to cook dinner like, yeah. I get to be done with that part of my life and. You know it’s interesting because a lot of people are like, aren’t you bored? And I’m like, no, I’m not because.

Speaker 2

If it’s the first time you’ve had a break.

Speaker 1

Yeah, for a long time.

Speaker 2

In at least.

Speaker 1

15 years. Yeah. Yeah. Because when I started dating, he already had older kids, so we were already doing this, right? They were already doing sports and acting. Yep. Yeah. So.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I love this for you. I love this era that’s coming for you.

Speaker 1

It just feels really good, yeah. And like I love hanging out with my husband and we get to hang out and do things together. And also like I get my alone time at the same. Time, you know which is very. It’s so important. We’ve talked about it before, but.

Speaker 2

Like I feel like alone time could save relationships if even just a couple hours a week. Like I joke all the time that I love like I love my husband, but I love my Saturdays. I love. I refuse to work on a Saturday because he works Saturdays and I feel like it’s like the only day a week that I do not have to answer to.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Yeah, because he works, yeah.

Speaker 2

Anybody or anything? Yeah. And I feel like and I get to go, like, run errands and go to the gym, or I get to. Do nothing and.

Speaker 1

Nobody cares. Yeah, nobody cares. Yeah, it’s nice like and obviously we both work from home, but.

Speaker 2

Yeah, especially working from home.

Speaker 1

You know, he knows. He knows. Like I need my, you know, hour or whatever he’s like, totally respectful of, like. No, go take your time, which is great. Yeah. Ohh yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 2

He likes it too, though, like he like, he’s like, OK, well and he likes schedule. It’s funny. You guys dance schedules is video gaming around when Kayla’s friends are.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Here I know.

Speaker 2

It’s great though, because then you both get to spend as much time as you can together.

Speaker 1

Yeah, like meaningful time together.

Speaker 2

Meaningful time together where he’s not like me and. I wish I. Was playing video. Games you weren’t like, man.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

I wish I was reading or.

Speaker 1

And we don’t have like hostility about, like wanting to do our own things. It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s just that.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 2

Like I just want to like decompress. Yeah. Yeah. And it’s super healthy and I think that totally people just need to be like, yeah, like, it’s. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for people to be like, I need to be alone for a few minutes and that’s OK and it’s OK and, like, be up each other’s.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 1

***** all the time.

Speaker 2

Especially like if one or both are working from home like.

Speaker 1

It’s we’re around ending in each others like.

Speaker 2

Yes, yeah, yeah. You’re breathing each other’s air, even though. Yeah. No.

Speaker 1

Breathing air.

Speaker 2

So I I agree with you. I love my alone time, and I also love that like my husband, because my cause, Chris gets, you know, he has Sunday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday off. So while I’m working Monday and Tuesday, I don’t really bother him, but he kind of gets along time, but he could like because you’re kind of.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Locked away in your room.

Speaker 2

Yeah, because I’m locked away in my office. My I like. I have to sit at my computer all day, so I can’t, like, launder around too much. But yeah, it’s good alone. Times really good. Great Speaking of.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Time. Have you? OK. I have been really into movies lately. New movies coming out, going to the movie theater, and I feel like it’s kind of coming back. I am not going to lie. Chris and I did not really go to the movies from pretty much COVID up until, like, this year. We may have seen. On one or two movies a year, the last year or two, and so this year we also live right next to a really nice majestic movie theater and everything you. Know everything’s good. So. The New Jurassic World movie I love, Love, love, love, love.

Speaker 3

Chris is a good feel good story.

Speaker 2

And I’m like, listen, there’s no dinosaurs. That’s all that.

Speaker 1

Matters you should have taken Anna to go. You should still take Anna to go see that.

Speaker 2

I. So here’s the thing. I saw the first Jurassic movie my. My brother’s dad took us all four of us kids. I remember. It was a Saturday. I would guess. Because my stepmom worked on Saturdays because she also worked for the Postal Service, and so he would take us to do, like, fun things or go out on the boat or whatever. And he took us to go see that. OK, so Jurassic came out in 1993, the First Jurassic Park movie. I was 6 1/2 years old. I had nightmares for months, months, months, months. I remember. I remember like the the dinosaurs were always almost eating me, almost catching me most of the time it was the T Rex. Even though she’s my favorite, because she’s the only thing that’s been maintained.

Speaker 1

Really.

Speaker 2

Through every single one of these movies, there’s. Always a T Rex. So, and it’s usually the female that I’m assuming they’ve been referring to for the first few movies. But anyways, so she is almost killing me. In all my dreams for months, and then slowly I was like, OK, maybe it wasn’t that scary. Keep in mind it is labeled as a horror movie or a thriller. It is because people die and it’s scary because they’re back. The new ones I don’t think are labeled that because they’re.

Speaker 1

Is it? Yeah.

Speaker 2

A little more comedic, even. No. Oh. Oh, my God. Who played Malcolm? I don’t. I don’t remember. Anyways. So he was like the commuting, but anyways, it was. It was so good. I love Scarlett Johansson. I love seen it yet. OK, I so and Amy and I also Amy saw it. Like a couple days after. I did so. We also did this light little foot. Reminiscing of it. But the guy in it? Where’s my phone? The guy in it is. From Bridgerton, have you watched Bridgerton?

Speaker 1

Yeah, some of it not all of it.

Speaker 2

OK. Umm.

Speaker

There it is.

Speaker 2

I love him. Jonathan Bailey, let me see. Precious little muffin.

Speaker 1

Oh, OK, yeah.

Speaker 2

So he was in Bridgerton also. And that’s where, like you learned to love him. And then he was in wicked. And now he’s in this and he’s just the most adorable little thing. But like, I see, I see these. Memes about him and they’re talking. About him in like little ****** glasses.

Speaker 3

No.

Speaker 1

I cannot.

Speaker 2

I’m dead, so yeah, I just absolutely love him. And I love Scarlett. I coincidentally, there is like, I’m not going to give anything away. But like, there’s a dad and two kids that are out there or on this as well. And the daughter is. A 10 out of 10 character. She’s so good. She played. Yeah. New. She’s young. She’s. I mean, she can’t be over 20 years.

Speaker 1

New actress?

Speaker 2

Old I don’t. Think but she was really, really, really good for this. So I recommend.

Speaker 1

That’s awesome.

Speaker 2

But like I said. Chris is like it’s the same story. I’m like, yeah, the dinosaurs are humongous and they eat people like, if that’s the storyline you’re talking about. Yes. But like, that’s the thing I love about them is every single one. There’s always a couple.

Speaker 1

Duh. That’s the storyline. Yeah. Two different things.

Speaker 2

There’s always a couple. New different dinosaurs that I’m like, so I’m obsessed with dinosaurs now as an adult.

Speaker

And.

Speaker 2

And I recommend I watch all the. Movies probably a couple times a year.

Speaker 1

Too, but you’ve always been obsessed with dinosaurs as an.

Speaker 2

Yes, yes. And even and like it started in like as like a teenager, I became very interested even though I was very scared as a kid. So I’m really glad it kind of had that turn around because.

Speaker 1

Adult.

Speaker 2

The fact that these creatures roamed the Earth and that we still find fossils of new dinosaurs every single year like it’s wild to me that all of these things existed prior to. Us.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And like they. Yeah, it’s just wild. Also, the side note to that is is. I’ve been listening to more podcasts about learning things interesting. I’ve been like into this, so of course they’re some of them were conspiracy learnings. So I started watching ancient apocalypse on Netflix, and there’s like an.

Speaker 1

Shocker. Dan watches that.

Speaker 2

OK. So there’s Americas one and there’s there’s like a regular one that’s kind of from all over the world. There’s spots all over the world, but I didn’t know until I watched this. But not everything can be fossilized. It has to be the right condition, the right soil and the right amount of moisture for it to even become fossilized. So I’m like the hail some of the things we’re not fossilized that we don’t ******* know about. But then here comes the we’ve only, you know, explored 5% of the. Maybe 10. Yeah, maybe, you know. And what the **** isn’t there? And things like in Jurassic World.

Speaker 1

My God.

Speaker 2

That’s so scary as my.

Speaker 1

I. Little get you a little tip, cha. Yeah. So side or so another movie we saw was because I love Dragons, how to train your dragon. I still haven’t seen that either. Go to the theater anymore.

Speaker 2

You’ve got to watch. It I know you guys never do. And I mean, that’s OK, but you’re also not huge on movies like you don’t get excited about things coming out. You’re just like, no, that’s cool. Sounds like a plan.

Speaker 1

No, I. I get to like. I don’t know. Movies are too long for me to focus on.

Speaker 3

But ADHD kicks in a little.

Speaker 1

Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 3

Bit.

Speaker 2

But like, did you watch? OK, so and one that’s coming out that I am looking forward to seeing is Freaky Friday or Freaky or Friday.

Speaker 1

I get bored. Ohh yeah, I do want to see that. OK and what comes out today? Uh. Happy Gilmore too. It better not disappoint.

Speaker 2

2. There’s no ******* way. Will a. Has he ever made Adam Sandler has ever Adam Sandler ever made a bad movie? No. So and like you know.

Speaker 1

A bad movie?

Speaker

No.

Speaker 1

Maybe, maybe a movie we don’t. About but.

Speaker 2

Right. Well, you know that there’s going to be a few characters that weren’t there because, sadly. They’ve passed since but. I mean I.

Speaker 1

I’m excited. Does it come out at a?

Speaker 2

I’m so excited to see it. I think it just. Said it was on. You’re gonna be on. Netflix today. OK, I put. Like remind me. Ohh yeah, we watched the first one last night. I actually almost wore my Adam Sandler shirt because I know and I didn’t. And because I got to see him, I know.

Speaker 1

Like, we’re watching that tonight. Did you? I hate. Missed opportunity.

Speaker 2

We got, we got to see him a. Couple years ago and he was. Amazing. Where did you see him at? We saw him in Palm Springs. The I missed you. Tour. Yes, yes. Yeah, cause.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, that’s right. I forgot about that.

Speaker 2

Me, Amy, and Dean. It was so fun, but.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that’s right. So many ******* people. Dude. Speaking of tours. Yes, I saw Morgan Wallen.

Speaker 2

OK, but wait, wait, wait. Who else was there?

Speaker 1

Brooks and Dunn. OK, thank.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Excuse. OK, so I love that you love him. Oh, my gosh. Tell me about that. Your love for him cause Katie also loves him. And I am.

Speaker 1

I can scare.

Speaker 2

Not on the train with her.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, I forgot she was there. Yes. OK, so, Morgan wallen? Yeah, he.

Speaker 2

Is I just am not on the.

Speaker 1

So hot.

Speaker 2

I don’t know what it is.

Speaker 1

He’s very attractive to me, I told Dan. I said I’m ready to buy a farm and have you wear cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and wranglers every day.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I I love that for you. I.

Speaker 1

And a cut off.

Speaker 3

Shirt. Tank.

Speaker 1

Like shirt. What do you wears a shirt? I know. Oh my God. I’m, like and just a mustache ******* a. That’s the worst part of the whole thing. I just love it.

Speaker 2

Uh. I heard, but everybody said he put on a great show.

Speaker 1

But then I would probably show he does put on a great show. It was really, really good. Yeah, he got booed.

Speaker 2

Because it was. Friday and Saturday night. He got booed on Friday night and he, apparently because I saw a video of him talking about it in the audience, that the Saturday night crew made-up for the Friday night flop.

Speaker 1

Yeah, he literally said. I didn’t know if I was going to come back here after that Friday night crowd. Yeah, but it was because, I guess.

Speaker 2

Which is so sad like. People would you go to a concert and?

Speaker 1

Boo, somebody, people I don’t even know if it was that people were fighting in front of him, I guess.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I’m not here for that.

Speaker 1

And then I don’t know a couple other things, but yeah, it kind of sucks. Yeah.

Speaker 2

But I’m glad that y’all redeemed it.

Speaker 1

Same thing happened to Billy Eilish a few years ago. Like people, somebody threw something at her on stage. Like twice. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Here in Arizona. Really. What the **** is wrong with these people? These must be from California.

Speaker 1

I know. And it’s like nobody. Of course, none of these artists are gonna want to.

Speaker 2

Come back here. No. And I was. Yeah. I was telling cause Katie’s a huge fan of the open. And I was like Tiger Woods. Come. Come back because of that party hole. He had too many things thrown at him. And he’s like, I’m not going back to do the open. If you guys are going to ******* throw **** at me.

Speaker 1

Wild.

Speaker 2

And like, that’s The thing is, I don’t blame them.

Speaker 1

Be ready.

Speaker 2

Right, but that’s.

Speaker 1

The thing is, like, I don’t blame them. Yeah, not for one ******* second like, but that is so rude. What is ******* wrong with people that makes me so angry? Yeah, he put on a really good show. I had a really good time. I drank vodka. Shirley temples all night.

Speaker 3

Oh my God.

Speaker 1

So good.

Speaker 2

You were in.

Speaker 1

A box I was in the like club. OK dude, if I ever went to see him again, I would get pet tickets. Like that would be so fun. Yeah. So fun. One of my coworkers, his sister-in-law, had pit tickets, and she was recording on her phone, and he took her phone.

Speaker 2

Because he lives.

Speaker 1

And like was singing into her phone. That’s cute. And then, like, gave it back dead. Dead stop.

Speaker 2

That’s sweet.

Speaker 1

Game over and out. So yeah, that was amazing. And then like I have like 5 or 6 concerts, I’m going to this year already booked. Yeah, I got the format ticket. I’m going to go see the format. Yes, I’m very jealous. I’m so excited. For you. So excited to go. See them.

Speaker 2

Talk about high school. Bring you back the high school, the high school. Scott. Punk rock five. Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah. And it’s at the Coliseum.

Speaker 2

Yeah, such a.

Speaker 1

Like the fairgrounds?

Speaker 2

Such an underrated venue, I think it needs to be updated, but there. Has been talk of.

Speaker 1

People tearing it down for years, for years, so I’m glad it’s still used to do it, like 2 cheer competitions a year.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

So like, I’m very familiar with. Yeah, which is.

Speaker 2

Why? And it’s like an old Arizona building and like.

Speaker 1

Child but.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

It’s such a cool shape so. Yeah. Yeah, OK. So what else? Who else?

Speaker 1

I’m excited.

Speaker

Wanna live live, live, live.

Speaker 2

What? Who else are you seeing?

Speaker 1

We’re going to, when we were young in October, we’re seeing yellow card and a day to remember.

Speaker

Oh.

Speaker 2

Ohh.

Speaker 1

I can’t remember who else, but there was like a couple other ones, like, scattered around there. Yeah.

Speaker 2

But I don’t know. Yeah. So, yeah, I’m so excited for you. Living your best life.

Speaker 1

I know I love it. I love it. I love going to concerts. It’s so much fun. Did we talk about the concert that we went to with Eliana? Ohh yeah. We went to Mayday Parade.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah, we went to Mayday Parade and Kayla invited me. Yeah, cause Dan wasn’t feeling good. And I was like, yeah, I don’t think we did.

Speaker 1

Because you got sick. Maybe we did talk about this.

Speaker 2

Because we haven’t, we haven’t recorded.

Speaker 1

I can’t remember. Feel like that was in the winter? Was it? Who knows? Who knows? Well, either way, it was very fun. Yeah, I agree with you. It’s so like it’s like these smaller venues or, I don’t know. But like, I do like the country concert like.

Speaker 2

Yes, are so much better. Yeah, it was huge.

Speaker 1

That’s an amazing show and it’s huge, but. Like. Also, so much fun, just in a different.

Speaker 2

Way. Yeah. Well, I feel like too like as the I don’t think the artists make a lot of money if they don’t do huge arenas. Yeah, because, like, music is, like, notoriously cheap. They do not pay the artists for touring, really. So I feel like the only way that they can actually make any money is by doing those.

Speaker 1

I’m sure.

Speaker 2

Huge venues, which sucks because. Is then there’s people like me who won’t go see them because it’s a huge venue because I don’t want to deal with the people and the traffic before and.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it’s crazy.

Speaker 2

Afterward. Well, the anxiety alone being in a like in a huge crowd of people now is really bad for me. And granted I, you know, just smoke a doorway and deal with it.

Speaker

Yeah.

Speaker 2

But it sometimes it gives me a lot of anxiety and like I have to go to the. Bathroom and, like, chill for a minute, but.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Yeah, it really wasn’t that bad for us to be. With you afterwards, it was like.

Speaker 2

Think that a club level would be. Pit would have been rough getting out.

Speaker 1

Ohh yeah. Ohh yeah.

Speaker 3

I’ve been rough getting.

Speaker 2

Out. But yeah. No, I I’m glad. If you had so much. Fun. Yeah. You look so cute. Yeah, this.

Speaker 1

So much fun.

Speaker 3

Oh my God.

Speaker 1

Just the cutest. It was great. It was great.

Speaker 3

Good. Good. So yeah.

Speaker 2

Work is going well for you.

Speaker 1

Crazy as always, but yes.

Speaker 2

I got to hear the last couple of minutes of the meeting today and they were all giggling so.

Speaker 1

It can’t be that bad. It’s just so much work. I’m exhausted like I am exhausted, yeah.

Speaker 2

Well, I feel like too because like even if you’re not sitting in front of your computer, you’re still on because you still have your phone. Like you’re still responding and.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I’m caught. Yeah. Yeah. And like, it’s just a lot of, it’s just a lot of stuff right now at work, but it’s all good. Like I love who I work with and what I do and all of that. And stuff. No. It’s just a lot. I got to hire another supervisor recently, so that was pretty cool.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Because your team is growing. Yeah. Which is good. Yeah, but more work? Yep. Lots. Lots of change. Yeah. I feel like there’s always change, especially in very large, like especially.

Speaker

OK.

Speaker 2

From what I’m. Dealing with too, yeah, is like there because we switch from one company to another as like the. Owner company. You know, it’s now like they’re switching everything this year, so they’re they have already switched multiple things, but there’s even more to come. Like they sent out a memo. And I’m like, man.

Speaker

MHM.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, great. All new systems, all new passwords, all new things are still decided.

Speaker 1

Yeah, lots of like experimentation for us and trying new things and new ways of doing things. And so it’s a lot. And so and then you’re dealing with people, right? So you got to manage emotions and all that. Fun stuff, right? I am pretty lucky with who I work with, so I call it a win. Yeah, in my book. Yeah, for sure, I agree.

Speaker 2

I am starting to get in so. For those who don’t know, I started working from home about a year ago, actually. Yeah. And I’m now starting to really miss the human interaction portion of my days that I would have before. Yeah, and.

Speaker 1

Portion.

Speaker 2

I’m kind of struggling with that because we only like I get to see these people’s faces like for 15 minutes once a day. You know what I mean? The rest of the time, if I have a meeting, it’s rare. If I have, like some if there’s like a team or something that we don’t always have to be on camera like they encourage it. But like, you don’t have to be. You know what I mean? So and also like, you’re not breathing each. Other’s air. Which sounds so weird. But as a as a. Tech for so many years. I breathed so many other peoples air and vice versa. For years, like we would literally. So let me explain. So we would literally like if we had like this huge, let’s say we had like bolt, we had a huge American bulldog come in. Yeah, it would take two people to hold that dog down, fair minimum, possibly 1/3 depending on the dog.

Speaker 1

The **** does that mean, Ashley?

Speaker 2

If we could sedate or not, because sometimes the owners tell us we can’t.

Speaker

Let’s just we’ll just.

Speaker 2

Talk a bare nail trim. Two people holding on to the dog facing the person who’s doing the nail trim, and there might even be a fourth person holding on to the back legs while they’re trimming the front legs and vice versa. So. They don’t kick you, yeah. Breathing each other’s.

Speaker 1

Air. OK, so you weren’t saying something metaphoric?

Speaker 2

No, there was no. Like, I was being absolutely physical. Yeah, breathing each.

Speaker 1

Gossip. But you miss breathing each other’s hair. That’s ******* weird.

Speaker 2

Other’s air. Each other there. I miss being in close proximity with people.

Speaker 1

You breathe my air. Thank good. Weirdo.

Speaker 2

I love you, but I miss being in in, in close proximity with other people.

Speaker 3

OK.

Speaker 2

And it’s weird like I miss getting hugs. I miss giving hugs. I miss holding peoples arms or hands if they’re having a rough day. You know what?

Speaker 1

I mean which?

Speaker 2

Is ****. I ******* hated as a supervisor. Loved it. Working for a chiropractor. And now I’m it’s. Completely gone, yeah. So I’m feeling deficient in that part of my life at this moment.

Speaker 1

You need to join a club or something.

Speaker 2

Then. So it’s funny, because my boss and I were talking about joining, like literally like, I will hug you. You can pay me to hug you. Come on, let’s cuddle like I want to be like a cuddle buddy.

Speaker 1

My God, I cannot. I’m sure your husband would love that. Oh my God. He would hate it. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

But like it just it just goes to. Show that the human experience for me. I’m feeling depleted in my life in that moment, in this moment in these, it’s probably been a month or two of feeling this way, like and like. Considering getting another job. Serious.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Like I don’t want to just go walk around the mall and give people hugs. But like, yeah, you know what I mean? So.

Speaker 1

Sure.

Speaker 2

I’m kind of struggling with that. A little bit also.

Speaker 1

See and I. I also think it’s different for you too, because you are alone at home. Yes, I’m not correct. And so it’s like I almost have a coworker. You know what? Yes. Yeah, that is helpful.

Speaker 2

I’m sure because well and my Chris is there Mondays and Tuesdays. But Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I’m completely alone. Katie is at work. Yeah. And this is also part of why I was like, OK, now it’s time. For me to get a dog. So I have something.

Speaker 3

To take care of, yeah.

Speaker 2

During the day and somebody to talk to. Cause like he’s my he’s my boy. He’s my best friend. You know what I mean? So. And he he insists on being with me everywhere. So it’s just interesting how I miss interacting.

Speaker 1

With real people.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I hate it.

Speaker 1

I love that you recognize that, though, yeah.

Speaker 2

And so I just have, I had to figure something out where? I can get paid. Young people.

Speaker 1

Good luck with that. I know how that works out. I don’t know how that works for you.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean, it would just be I. Just want The thing is. Too is like I’ve always been told. I give good hugs. And I’m like, oh, yeah, it’s cause I’m squishy. Like it makes sense. You know what I mean? But I I also will hug you as long as you want to hug me. Yeah. Like, I’m not going to be the first one to pull away. So. And you’re not like that.

Speaker 3

I. Not.

Speaker 2

Yeah. So maybe that’s the other part too is. It’s just not. Like you don’t miss this. You don’t miss interacting with other. People.

Speaker 1

I mean, I do, but like I also sit in meeting like, yeah, I sit in meetings all day. Yeah. You don’t? Yes. You’re seeing other people’s faces and interacting with other people. Yeah. And that’s very true too. So yeah. I’m literally like. And I’ve been going to the office, like, every Wednesday.

Speaker 2

Yes.

Speaker 1

Well, for the last two Wednesdays, I won’t say every Wednesday because people will definitely give me crap about. That, but I’ve been trying to.

Speaker 2

Yes.

Speaker 1

Go and as often as possible. The last few weeks, yeah, so.

Speaker 2

And that’s The thing is I have that option.

Speaker 1

But office is so far it’s an.

Speaker 2

Hour away and.

Speaker 1

Yeah, no mines, like 20-30 minutes.

Speaker 2

And I’d have to be there by 7:00 AM because my shift starts at 7:00 AM. Yeah, and my job is not the kind of job where, like, I could walk around wandering around all day. But like, if I was sitting in a cubicle, I’d have a homie on the right and a homie on the left, you know what I mean? Like it. It could be possible. And, like, granted me and a couple of my work friends. We try to meet. Like once every couple weeks and just spend like 10 or 15 minutes just getting caught up and seeing each other’s faces. Yeah, but yeah. Yes, I didn’t think I’d missed this. So it’s very interesting for me. Also, on top of that. I feel I’m having some like hormonal changes in hormonal imbalances. I need to see a new Doctor. But I really want to go see my naturopath, but she’s really expensive, so that’s not going to happen. So I need to and that’s I just Western medicine doctors don’t. Help me. So I’m just trying to figure that out with my insurance too. But anyways, so and then of course, our beautiful, wonderful Amy. Smart Angel muffin nurse. She was she might be in perimenopause. Interesting.

Speaker 3

Are you ******* kidding me?

Speaker 2

Are you ******* kidding me? I’m 38 years old.

Speaker 1

Could be. Almost 39 to be.

Speaker 2

Clear, I know. But but like bro, come on. But then I remembered as I’m like, thinking about it, cause I was like of course. Amy actually might be right. My mom went into menopause in her 40s and but her doctors told her it was because of her Ms. and it was because of the medication she was on and.

Speaker 3

Interesting.

Speaker 1

Right.

Speaker 2

All of that. Stuff. So. I just, yeah.

Speaker 1

Didn’t think about it.

Speaker 2

So I might be very nervous and not excited about it and and I’m going to tell you these, these hormonal fluctuations and like I’m having like a lot of anger like anger bursts randomly. And then I was crying to my husband about wanting a baby last week. So and I actually don’t want a child.

Speaker 1

Dear Lord.

Speaker 2

No, you don’t. So like, that’s what I’m dealing with. It’s not. Yeah, it’s that’s what I’m dealing with. So it’s like this really weird.

Speaker

Let’s.

Speaker 2

I just need more hugs. I just need my hug. That’s the answer to everything. It is hugs, not drugs and drugs, hugs and drugs and drugs. Hugs and drugs is actually dear Lord is actually the the thing so.

Speaker 1

Alexandra. Laura.

Speaker 2

With that, because I’ve been listening to our podcast learning Things, I started listening to Gary Breka.

Speaker 1

Don’t know who that is.

Speaker 2

He is, I think, a biologist by trade, but and by education. But he focuses more on, like extending life in a natural. Way. So he’s like, really big on, like, saunas, cold plunges, red light therapy, stem cell therapy. That kind of stuff, RP injections, that kind of stuff. So I started listening to him because he has a lot of really good people on too.

Speaker 3

MHM.

Speaker 2

And then I had to stop listening to him because he had this wonderful woman on and she was talking about depression and high functioning depression. So I’m over. Here thinking I have high functioning depression as well.

Speaker 1

Welcome to my life.

Speaker 2

So because the way.

Speaker 1

In there.

Speaker 2

She described it. It’s like, yeah, no, you are doing things because you feel like you have to not because you want to and you get no joy out of doing them, but you feel and you’ve been so programmed by your parents, your, whatever your situation.

Speaker 1

Right.

Speaker 2

Was or even by your own OCD or whatever, you know. So I’m like, well, that sounds like me too. So I’m depressed and going through perimenopause. And I’m living trying to live my best life trying. I’m trying to do my best. But you know it. We’ll get there. It’s just the season, but.

Speaker 1

To live my best life.

Speaker 3

We’ll get there.

Speaker 1

It’s good that we’re back because now we get to do this again and have another focus and trying new things.

Speaker 3

Yes.

Speaker 1

Outlet. Yeah, yeah. I’m so excited. Yeah, to be back with you.

Speaker 2

I agree. Me too. It was a really I think it was a much needed break. It was a nice clarity for us but also to like we’ve been hanging out with. I mean I still see you almost every week. But like we’ve been hanging out with their friends a lot. Like I said at the beginning of of the podcast, like we’ve been hanging out at Kaylan’s House and in the pool like it’s been. It’s been great. It’s been an ideal summer for us.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Yeah, it has.

Speaker 2

Thankfully. And we’ve spent a lot of time together and I’m super grateful for that because it’s especially with all the celebrities doing this.

Speaker 1

Oh my God cannot.

Speaker 2

This week I am I’m just like, OK, this is also. I just want to spend more time with my friends and hug my friends. And here we are, right. And we’re going to go swimming after this. Because I was like, I’m bringing my baby suit. We’re gonna go swimming.

Speaker 3

Love that you know? Yeah.

Speaker 2

Also, I just have to sign out and hate on you for. A second, I don’t think. You’ve watered these. Yes, I have. Since our last podcast, I see that one full they are that.

Speaker 1

Do you see how long these are and how beautiful?

Speaker 3

One looks good but.

Speaker 1

This one’s fine. It’s grown also. And where’s.

Speaker 2

Your pink one.

Speaker 1

It’s over there. It has new leaf. Back off, *****. I’ve been watering. It you know what else it likes? Soda water.

Speaker 2

You know what? There might be something in that that it likes. So. So I had to bring that up because I also have to hate on Dan right now because Dan and I were like, we’re gonna get a plant. We’re have a plant contest and we’re going to measure it, and we’re going to see where it is in a year.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

His man said his his plant died dead. The Reaper came to visit Dan as well and killed his plant. So I win. So I win. Dan. Hi. I win. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Also don’t hit on the finger.

Speaker 1

And so.

Speaker 2

I broke I. Have 3 broken nails. I have a nail appointment again tomorrow. Wow, so this is I’ve been trying to hide it in. Betwixt my thighs this whole time.

Speaker 1

I cannot. I can’t either. OK, well, we’ll be back soon. Yeah. Exciting. OK, get ready.

Speaker 3

It was so great.

Speaker 1

To be annoyed by us again. Bye bye.

Speaker 2

Oh, my God. Yeah.

Speaker 1

OK, bye.

Speaker 1

OK, bye.
